03.07.2011: COUNTY WEEK 2011 Played 5, won 2 lost 3. It was a tough week for Bedfordshire, starting with a bad defeat to Cambs & Hunts, followed by a very close shave with a bolt of lightning for captain Elaine. But the team rallied to beat Norfolk and Suffolk in excellent performances. Nikki Morris and Fiona Cooper both made their debuts, and took to the competition like ducks to water, stacking up valuable points for Bedfordshire. Fiona had lost out on 18 twice, before she and Nikki produced a stunning up and down on the last day to win a vital foursomes point against Essex. That hole owed Fiona, and revenge was sweet. The full report will be available shortly, but in the meantime for all the facts and figures, click here. |

03.06.2011: HOLLY RECORDS TOUR BEST PERFORMANCE Holly recorded her best ever tour finish this week at the Deloittes Ladies Open in the Netherlands. She set the pace from the off with a 5 under par 67 including 8 birdies. She held onto that lead throughout day 2. Despite a late tee off, no-one had caught her by the time she stepped onto the course and posted an excellent 1 under par 71 to leave her 2 shots clear of the field. It was a tough last day, but Holly hung in there to secure a tie for 2nd place, and her best ever tour finish. Holly's performance catapults her a massive 89 places up the Henderson Money List, and also puts her 29th in the LET Order Of Merit. Another good result next week could see Holly climb into the top 25, which will give her an automatic place in the Ricoh British Open. Well done Holly! |
