County Week 2011 03.07.2011: COUNTY WEEK 2011
Played 5, won 2 lost 3. It was a tough week for Bedfordshire, starting with a bad defeat to Cambs & Hunts, followed by a very close shave with a bolt of lightning for captain Elaine. But the team rallied to beat Norfolk and Suffolk in excellent performances. Nikki Morris and Fiona Cooper both made their debuts, and took to the competition like ducks to water, stacking up valuable points for Bedfordshire. Fiona had lost out on 18 twice, before she and Nikki produced a stunning up and down on the last day to win a vital foursomes point against Essex. That hole owed Fiona, and revenge was sweet. The 2nd team also won at Mount Pleasant 2 - 1 making it a truly memorable day for the county. Well played everyone! Click here for photos and the full result.
