Jamboree

The match was held on 6th September at Great Yarmouth and Caister GC, a true links course and very testy even though it wasn't too windy and the sun shone most of the time. The fairways were very dry and undulating with deep pot bunkers and small sloping greens. To add to that the course was laid out within the rails of the racecourse which meant a few drops from the rails! All six counties played their final two matches in a three ball format. Needless to say there were some who liked this format and some who didn't, but all the girls coped very well and kept track of their two matches. The Divisional winners were Hertfordshire with Norfolk a close second. Bedfordshire girls have played well all season and although they came bottom of the table, this year's team have themselves improved tremendously and have lots to be proud of. We say farewell to Megan, Katie, Fiona and Vanessa who move out of the Junior ranks for next season and congratulations to Fiona, Vanessa, Sophie, Elena and Katherine who were awarded team colours for representing Bedfordshire in county matches.
