With just 6 shots separating the top 20 handicaps, competition was always going to be tight. In fact it came down to a countback situation, with Lesley just pipping County Junior Organiser and former County President, Cicely Goldsmith. Cicely won the Bond Trophy for the best gross score for the over 65's. Winner of the bronze division gross prize was Marie Smith from John O'Gaunt.

7th April 2008: Seniors versus 2nd Team
The annual match versus the County 2nd team almost didn't happen, as the 2 teams arrived at Dunstable Downs to find the course covered in snow and closed. However, a bit of sunshine and charm from the captains came to the rescue and the match was able to be played, albeit on temporary greens. Lunch and dinner were swapped round just in case, but the foursomes and the singles were played in full. For the first time this year, the seniors were given full handicap difference, but it wasn't enough as the 2nd Team eventually triumphed 7 1/2 to 4 1/2. Thanks to all those who played.
